aaaw, don't worry, hon. i didn't know what one was either until recently. it's basically when a fandom has a HUGE fanfic/fanart kinda... orgy. XD if you want, you can sign up as an author or an artist. then the authors have a certain amount of time (usually 3 or 4 months) to write a MINIMUM 20,000 word fanfic. at one point, the mods post summaries of the stories (provided by the authors) for the artists to fight over claim. and then a couple more months are given for the artists to do their thing, and the authors to finish up the story and get it ready for posting. then when it's all over, there's an (organized to be split into groups) POSTING BANANZA!!! some fandoms can have HUNDREDS of stories posted all with artwork.
